NORTHFIELD — Citizens Bank says Northfield Falls resident Pauli Knapp has been awarded its Citizens Helping Citizens Community Credo Award.

Knapp volunteers at Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice, according to a news release. Knapp is described as being a hands-on person with clients, responding to their needs as required.

As part of the award, Citizens Bank will contribute $2,500 to Knapp’s charity of choice, Camp Ta-Kum-Ta, the South Hero camp for children with cancer.

This award is part of Citizens Helping Citizens, the bank’s program that strives to enhance quality of life and economic vitality in local communities.

The annual award was created in 2007 by Citizens Financial Group Inc. to honor volunteers who perform exemplary service in the communities where the bank does business. Nominations for the award are made by co-workers or the candidates themselves.
