Over 400 enthusiastic bingo players attended the South Burlington Knights of Columbus’ annual Special Bingo held on April 12, 2015 at the Sheraton Conference Center.

There were many bingo winners as well as a silent auction and door prizes awarded. The special game for a 2015 BMW did not produce a winner. However, a KOC bingo consolation prize of $2500 was awarded.

A moment of silence was observed as the names were read of Camp Ta Kum Ta campers who have passed. In addition to legacy partner Camp Ta Kum Ta local charities COTS, Chittenden County Food Shelf, Warmth Program and Coats for Kids will benefit from the proceeds of the KOC Special Bingo.

On Sunday, October 12th, the culmination of a commitment was completed. Led by PGK Don Sutton, a new ecumenical chapel was dedicated to serve the spiritual needs of the campers of Camp TKT and their families.

A majority of the Vermont KOC councils committed their time, labor, and monies to see the special project through to conclusion.

Now the children, their familes and camp staff have a place of spiritual refelction to call their own.

Camp Ta-Kum-Ta provides challenging, extraordinary experiences in a safe and loving environment for children who have, or have had, cancer and their families.

The camp exists for Vermont and northern New York children (including out of state children who are treated in Vermont) between the ages of 7 and 17, at no cost to their families.
